Why does your Google Business Profile matter?
Your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is often the first thing patients see when they search for you or your practice online. It shows your name, location, contact details, and potentially reviews — all in one glance.
When it’s set up correctly and matches your Doctify profile, you increase your chances of Google linking the two, so that your Doctify reviews appear directly on your Knowledge Panel in search results. This adds credibility and helps attract more patients.
🔍 While it’s ultimately up to Google’s algorithm to decide what appears in your profile, there are several steps you can take to improve your odds.
Benefits of a Google Knowledge Panel
✔️ Appear more prominently in search
✔️ Give patients a complete view of your practice
✔️ Build trust with more reviews and consistent branding
✔️ Increase clicks to your website and Doctify profile

How to Increase the Odds of Your Doctify Reviews Appearing on Google
Although Google doesn’t guarantee that your Doctify reviews will be shown, these steps can help signal to Google that your Doctify and Google profiles refer to the same business or person:
🔄 Match Your Profile Information Exactly
The more signals you give Google, the better. Make sure your:
Google Business Profile Field | Matches This on Doctify |
Business Name | Full name (if clinician) or Practice name |
Phone Number | Contact number shown on Doctify |
Email Address | Same email across both platforms |
Website URL | Same link is used in both places |
Social Media Links | Match across both platforms |
Business Category | Matches your speciality on Doctify |
Address & Location | The same (no formatting differences) |
✅ Tip: Use Doctify’s Trust Badges on your website and share reviews directly to your social media using the Share Review feature from your dashboard. These third-party signals help Google connect your presence across platforms and may improve the chances of your reviews appearing in your Google Business Profile.
A Note on Visibility
📌 Disclaimer: Google’s decision to display third-party reviews (like Doctify’s) is completely algorithmic and outside of our control. However, taking the steps above can increase the likelihood that your reviews will be featured.
