Troubleshooting Audio & Video Settings

Having trouble configuring your audio and video devices in Doctify Video? Try our helpful tips below to get started.

Follow the steps below to correctly configure your audio and video devices in your chosen browser - please be sure to do so prior to your scheduled patient consultation.

Changing your Devices in the Video Room

First of all, please ensure that your audio and video buttons, located at the bottom of your screen, are highlighted in green. You may wish to toggle these on and off to enable a connection.

If this does not work immediately, please locate the gear icon βš™οΈ in the top right-hand corner of your video room. Select the icon and choose 'Settings' to view your connected devices.

Audio Input - If the default device is not working please select another input from the dropdown and review whether the indicator is responding by speaking aloud.

Audio Output - If the default device is not working please select another output and ensure that you do not have headphones or external speakers connected.

Video-Input - Select a video input from the dropdown to display a small configuration panel that indicates that video is connected.


Still, having difficulty? Let's check if your browser is configured properly - you may need to allow the Doctify site access to your devices. Follow the instructions below for your chosen browser.

Chrome / Opera / Microsoft Edge

To adjust device configuration within the browser, you will need to;

  1. Select the padlock icon located next to the URL

  2. Set your Camera & Microphone to 'Block' and Sound to 'Mute'

  3. Click the 'X' icon and reload the browser as prompted

  4. Once reloaded, locate the padlock and reset all devices to 'Allow' before reloading again.

  5. Your video and audio will now be reset and functioning within the Doctify Video Consultation Room


Firefox

If you have selected 'Allow' for all devices upon entering the consultation room and are still having difficulty, please reset your device connections by following the steps below;

  1. Select the padlock icon located next to the URL

  2. Select the 'X' next to Camera and Microphone to temporarily disconnect access.

  3. Refresh the page by selecting πŸ”„ or holding CTRL/Command +R on your keyboard

  4. Once reloaded, tick 'Remember this decision' & 'Allow' for each access request.

  5. Your video and audio will now be reset and functioning within the Doctify Video Consultation Room


Safari

To adjust device configuration within the browser, you will need to;

  1. Select Safari from the top left of your page and click 'Settings for This Website'

  2. Please select 'Block' in the dropdown for 'Camera' and 'Microphone' to temporarily disconnect access

  3. Refresh the page by selecting πŸ”„ or holding CTRL/Command +R on your keyboard

  4. Once reloaded, navigate back to 'Settings for This Website' and set 'Camera' and 'Microphone to 'Allow'

  5. Your video and audio will now be reset and functioning within the Doctify Video Consultation Room
