Who is AHPRA?

AHPRA, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, is the organisation responsible for regulating registered health practitioners in Australia. It works in partnership with national boards for various health professions, such as doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists, to ensure that professionals meet national standards of practice and conduct. AHPRA oversees registration, accreditation, and complaints processes, helping to maintain public safety and trust in healthcare by ensuring that all practitioners are competent and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Recent updates to Doctify following AHPRA feedback

1st September 2024: Over the past month we have worked closely with AHPRA to align Doctify functionality with the guidelines.

Updates deployed:

We continue to highlight that all Doctify users must invite all patients consistently and fairly.

Do the tools Doctify offer comply with AHPRA guidelines?

Doctify has worked closely with AHPRA to help create tools specifically for the Australian market which make it easy for Healthcare practitioners to comply with AHPRA. Our tools when used correctly will help support working within the guidelines, however each Doctify user is responsible for their own AHPRA compliance.

How can I best use Doctify within the AHPRA guidelines?

  1. Familiarise yourself with our T&Cs and fair usage policy. Doctify has a fully up to date version of our Australian T&Cs which clarify our usage policies.

  2. Invite everyone! A key requirement from AHPRA is that all patients are invited to leave a review. The easiest way to ensure this is to add your review link into emails or texts that you already send to all clients such as booking confirmations, receipts or reminders.

  3. Highlight review collection offline- Alongside inviting everyone electronically it’s best practice to display either the QR code or a tablet in your practice to allow offline review collection.

  4. Understand the review process- Whilst everyone needs a link to leave a review- patients who don’t receive one can reach out directly to Doctify with proof of their healthcare experience and we’ll also be able to provide them with the review link.

How can I showcase my reviews on a website?

You can showcase your reviews on your website using our widgets and social icons.

Social icons are available here and our widgets are accessible from the Doctify dashboard.
