Why This Matters
Getting regular, approved patient reviews is essential for building trust, boosting your online presence, and keeping clients engaged. But following up with patients manually can take time. With Message the Patients Directly, you can now send review links instantly via SMS—whether it's one patient or a whole list—straight from your Doctify Dashboard.
What’s New?
You’ve always been able to message patients individually via the Review App (Review Us Later) or by sharing the Review Link through your email or Patient Management System.
Now, you can do the same right from your Dashboard:
✅ Message a single patient via direct phone number entry
📥 Message multiple patients in bulk via CSV upload
Whether you're following up after a clinic or catching up on a backlog, you can now manage review requests more efficiently—all in one place.
How to Message Patients
To Message One Patient from the Dashboard
Go to the Reviews section in your Dashboard
Choose whether to collect both Specialist and Practice reviews, or just one
Click Message a patient directly
Enter the patient’s mobile number using the correct format (see below)
Click Send message – your patient will receive a review request via SMS
This complements the one-patient messaging feature already available in the Review App.
To Message Multiple Patients (Send in Bulk)
In the same Reviews section, click Send in bulk
Download the CSV file template: bulk_import_mobile_number_template.csv
Add up to 250 patient mobile numbers in the correct format
Upload your completed file
If everything looks good, submit—and we’ll send the messages for you
Important: Phone Number Format
To ensure messages are sent successfully, phone numbers must be entered in international format:
✅ Correct: +44 7872345678
❌ Incorrect: 07872345678 or 00447872345678
➡️ Always include the + and the country dial code.
➡️ Do not include any spaces or leading zeroes.
If there’s an issue with your file, we’ll point out what needs fixing and provide you with the opportunity to re-upload it. You can also check out our Troubleshooting help article for more guidance (e.g., Struggling with the + sign on Excel/Google Sheets).
