Patient feedback is essential—it builds trust, strengthens your reputation, and helps future patients make informed decisions. In fact, 90% of patients check reviews before booking a private appointment. They care about the number, recency, and consistency of reviews.
So, if you’re not getting as many reviews as you’d like, let’s troubleshoot what might be going wrong!
1. Am I Inviting Enough Patients to Leave a Review?
If you’re only sending your review link to one patient per week but hoping for five new reviews, that math just doesn’t add up! Not everyone you invite will leave a review, so consistency and volume matter.
💡 Fix: Increase the number of patients you invite and make it a habit. The more invitations you send, the better your results!
2. Am I Only Using One Review Collection Method?
What works for one patient may not work for another. If you’re only using emails, you could be missing out on feedback from patients who prefer SMS or QR codes.
💡 Fix: Mix it up! Try different approaches to make it easy for every patient:
✅ Automated emails/SMS (if you have a Practice Management Software)
✅ Adding a review link & QR code to Clinical Letters
✅ Using the Doctify Review App (‘Use this Device’ option)
✅ Sending SMS from the Doctify number (‘Review Us Later’ option)
✅ Handing out QR code leaflets
3. Have I Told Patients Why Reviews Matter?
If a patient sees a review link in an email with no context, they might ignore it. People are more likely to engage when they understand why it’s important.
💡 Fix: Before ending your consultation, mention that you’re collecting anonymous feedback and why it’s valuable. Also, include a short message in your emails and Clinical Letters explaining how their review helps others.
4. Did I Tell My Patients About the SMS From Doctify?
If you’re using the Doctify Review App’s ‘Review Us Later’ option, your patients will receive an SMS from the Doctify number—not your personal one. Without a heads-up, they might ignore it.
💡 Fix: Simply let them know before they leave:
📢 “You’ll receive a message from Doctify later today—your feedback would really mean a lot to me!”
5. Am I Sending the Right Link?
Mistakes happen! Sometimes clinicians accidentally send a profile link instead of a review link, copy only part of the link, or delete a few symbols by mistake.
💡 Fix:
🔗 Find your correct review link:
📍 Go to your Dashboard → ‘Get Reviews’ → ‘Review link and QR code’ → Copy the link.
📩 Test it! Send yourself an email or SMS and click the link before sharing it with patients.
