📔 HCA Bookings on Doctify

We’ve partnered with HCA Healthcare UK to make it easier for patients to book directly with HCA specialists and practices via Doctify. This update means your profile can now generate confirmed bookings—not just views—helping you convert patient interest into real appointments.

Why It’s Important

Previously, many HCA profiles on Doctify were informational only, listing your details without offering a way for patients to take the next step. With online booking switched on, your live availability is shown directly on your profile, giving patients the option to reserve an appointment immediately.

How It Works

🔄 Automatic Activation

  • Doctify connects with the HCA scheduling system to identify specialists and practices that have bookable appointment slots.

  • If you appear in the HCA system with availability, the “Book online” button will automatically be displayed on your profile.

  • If no slots are available, or they’re removed from HCA’s system, the booking option will no longer show.

👩‍⚕️ Patient Experience

When someone views your profile:

  • Live bookings available will be visible whenever HCA slots are available.

  • The Book online button will help the patient see all the practices the clinician works at.

  • Each practice location panel will indicate whether bookings are available at that site.

  • Once the patient has selected their preferred practice, they can view up to 30 days of available booking slots and use the calendar to choose an appointment that suits them.

This ensures patients can see where and when they can book with you.

📬 From Booking to Confirmation

Once a patient chooses a time and completes the short booking form:

  1. Their details are passed securely into the HCA booking system.

  2. A confirmation is generated, and the appointment is logged with the appropriate HCA practice.

What You’ll See in Your Doctify Dashboard

Any appointment made through this integration will be tagged as:
“Booked via Doctify – HCA.”

This lets you track patient demand and measure the impact of your Doctify profile more easily.

Please note: Doctify’s new online booking function will only be available for consultants who are set up with live diaries via their HCA finder profiles. If you wish to be set up with a live-to-book diary, don't hesitate to get in touch with the PSG marketing team (psgmarketing@hcahealthcare.co.uk) so they can support.
