πŸ“© Review Collection Messaging by Geographic Location

Updated this week

Why This Matters

At Doctify, we use SMS and/or WhatsApp to send patient review invitations and opt-out confirmations. Understanding which countries are approved for messaging helps ensure:

  • Compliance with international regulations

  • Protection of patient data

  • Successful delivery of review collection messages

Being aware of these geographic restrictions allows your practice to manage patient reviews effectively and avoid confusion caused by blocked messages.

Country Messaging Status

Doctify restricts outbound review collection messages to approved countries only.

The status of countries is as follows:

βœ… Approved Countries

  • Review collection messages (invites and opt-out confirmations) are sent successfully via SMS or WhatsApp, depending on the market.

  • Patients receive the opt-out message, and submitted reviews are marked as verified once the required timeframe passes.

🚫 Restricted Countries

  • Review collection messages are blocked completely due to legal, compliance, or risk concerns.

  • Patients in these regions will not receive the review invitation message.

  • Reviews submitted from these patients will remain unverified because the verification message cannot be delivered.

πŸ”„ Ongoing Review

The list of approved countries is regularly reviewed to adapt to:

  • πŸ“œ Regulatory changes

  • πŸ” Security updates

  • 🌍 Country-specific risk assessments

Screenshots of the current approved and restricted countries are included below. Please note that the list may change over time. For the most up-to-date information, contact your Customer Success Manager.
